Wyatt should've been enjoying the Superbowl.

However, after seeing his aunt run off with the Source of All Evil, he felt it was more important to call Piper.

He paced his room as he dialed his mother's number and waited for her to pick up.

"I...I don't know," Piper said honestly. "First, we have to find her."

She began flipping pages in the Book of Shadows, hoping there was some sort of answer in there.

"I'm sorry to call with such bad news," Wyatt said guiltily.

"It's not your fault. I'm glad you called," Piper said. She was trying very hard not to cry but would likely fail. "I needed to know about this so I can...I don't even know."

"We'll figure it out," Wyatt assured her. "You did before."

[absolutesnark]

"Not in this timeline," Piper said absently, sniffling a bit. "I have no idea what I'm doing."

She was only a teenager after all.

"Mom?" Wyatt said. "You okay? What do you mean?"

[absolutesnark]

"I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to do," Piper sighed. "If I knew exactly how things turned out in your timeline...and you have no idea about that, do you?"

"You and Aunt Phoebe and Aunt Paige vanquished the Source," Wyatt said. "Twice, I guess. Is that what you mean?"

"Not quite," Piper said. "I don't think we're from the same timeline. So it was a different version of us that vanquished the Source."

Wyatt didn't quite understand, but he didn't want Piper to lose confidence. "But you're still the same person," he said. "Kind of. If she can do it, you can do it."

Piper couldn't help smiling at that. "You're right. If it has been done before, it can be done again."

"We just need to get to the Underworld somehow and find Phoebe," Wyatt said. "There are portals here, right? I don't know if those would work, though."

"Please do not go off to the Underworld by yourself," Piper pleaded. She technically wasn't his mother, but she was still going to be over protective.

"I won't," Wyatt promised. He may have had his fingers crossed. "But with all the people here with special abilities, there's gotta be someone who can get us there."

"Maybe so, just be careful, okay?" Piper said.

"I will," Wyatt said. He paused, then asked, "Have you talked to Chris at all lately? This weekend?"

"I haven't talked to Chris since the beginning of last week," Piper replied. "Why? Did something happen? Are you two okay?"

"He's okay," Wyatt said hastily. "He got attacked by some sort of shadow creature thing, but we found a spell to drive them off before he disappeared completely."

Piper breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. That he's okay. So, was that your first spell?"

[blessed_twice]

"Yeah, I guess so," Wyatt said, grinning a little. "There were a lot of people doing it, though."

"That definitely sounds like Fandom," Piper said, smiling slightly.

[blessed_twice]

"So, yeah, Chris is fine now, we're both fine, and we're gonna find Aunt Phoebe and save her," Wyatt said. "You gonna be okay?"

"I'm dealing," Piper said honestly. "Be careful? Please? And call me if you need anything. In the meantime, Paige and I will figure out how to deal with the Source."

"Okay," Wyatt said. "I'll call you if we figure anything out on this end."

"I would very much appreciate that," Piper said, nodding. "I will do the same. I guess I'll talk to you later, then?"

"Yeah, I'll call you again soon," Wyatt said. "Night."

"Night, Wyatt," Piper said quietly. After hanging up, she immediately set her schoolwork aside and went back into research mode.
