Wyatt was flipping through the Book of Shadows, waiting for Chris to show up. He had to resist the urge for an evil cackle. Oh yes, this would be fun.


[ooc: For the fake brother, but open. Specifics of what Wyatt and Chris are up to is NFB, but feel free to assume no good. ;) ]

Chris was smirking when he knocked on his brother's door. This was going to be so good. "Wy, it's me," he called.

"Come on in," Wyatt called out.

"Dude, did you find anything yet?" Chris asked, entering the room and closing the door behind him.

"I did find this," Wyatt said, tapping the page with the monkey totem. "It was something used to steal senses. There's no spell with it, though. We might have to wing it."

"Well, we wrote that spell for the creepy shadow thing," Chris pointed out, reading over the entry. "We can totally do this."

"Oh yeah, we've got the rhyming thing down," Wyatt said, pulling out a pencil and pad of paper.

"Totally," Chris agreed, flipping through the book. "Here, this would be a good way to start.

We call upon the ancient power
To help us with our need this hour

That monkey thing is totally an ancient power."

Wyatt nodded. "Oh yeah," he said. "How about:

Take her voice so she can say no words
Because she says things best left unheard."

"Oh, dude, that is perfect," Chris said. "We should light some candles. And I found this book of hers in the common room to use to tie the spell to her."

Wyatt had plenty of candles available -- to set the mood, of course. He pulled a couple out and dug out some matches as well. "Okay, we say this together?" he said.

Chris nodded, holding the book out over the candles. "Ready?"

"All set," Wyatt said, trying to clear his mind and focus his power. Then he and Chris recited:

"We call upon the ancient power
To help us with our need this hour
Take her voice so she can say no words

The candles blew out the moment they finished reciting the spell.

Chris looked at Wyatt. "I wonder if it worked."

"Just have to wait and see, I guess," Wyatt said. "Sometimes spells don't work immediately."

"We'll have to check on her tomorrow," Chris said.

"Dude, it's going to be so awesome to see her unable to say a word," Wyatt grinned.

Chris grinned back. "It totally will be. I'm gonna head out now. I'll see you tomorrow, dude."

"G'night," Wyatt said, picking up the candles and putting them away, still chuckling gleefully.
