Salamander A2, Saturday afternoon

After hanging out at the park for awhile, Wyatt headed back to the cabins, flopping heavily down on his bed. Aunt Prue had died long before he was born, murdered by Alyssa Milano a demon. It was cool meeting her finally, but it made him start thinking again about how much he wanted to find a way to bring his real mom and dad back to life. There had to be a way to do it. He knew he had the power inside him. He just had to figure out how to tap into it.

Yay, a big brother!

Okay, that got a more relaxed smile out of her. "You know, that really makes me feel better, Wyatt," she nodded. Without waiting for an invite, she sat on the edge of his bed. "What kind of spells do you do?"

"Vanquishing demons is a specialty," Wyatt said. "But I've got other powers, too." He started at his suitcase and made it slide across the floor.

"Okay, that's pretty cool."

She cocked her head. "Demons? You kill all demons?" She might have looked slightly worried.

"Not all of them," Wyatt said, frowning a little. "My aunt is dating one."

"My... cousin is half demon, so is my guardian's best friend." She frowned a little. "I take it you don't approve of your aunt's boyfriend?"

She liked Wyatt, so she was wondering if she should start hating the aunt's boyfriend and if there was a good reason to.

"I don't know," Wyatt admitted. "My Aunt Phoebe loves him and trusts him, but he used to be evil. And he got possessed by the Source of All Evil. He claims he's good now, but I'm keeping an eye on him." He gave Savannah a curious look. "Are demons not all evil where you come from?"

She smiled. "Ahh, protecting your aunt. I can understand that. I'm pretty protective of Paige, too. The last time someone tried to mess with her and take me, they learned that I'm not as powerless as they think I am." She shook her head. "No, not all of them. Adam totally helped rescue me from the people who had kept me locked up in order to try to control me when I was twelve. He's a good friend and someone I can usually talk to -- when he isn't acting like I'm a kid. He grew up with Paige. His dad is a well known professor."

She frowned. "There are some pretty evil ones though. It all depends. I've met some evil ones and some neutral ones." Her eyes darkened for a moment. "The evil ones tried to kill Paige and Lucas."

"Demons are all pretty much evil where I come from," Wyatt said. "Wait -- Paige? I have an Aunt Paige. That's weird."

"Really? Paige is my guardian. She took me in after my mother was murdered and a demon bitch tried to take me to one of the Cabals."

"I'm sorry," Wyatt said. "I lost my mom and dad to demons, too."

"Demons didn't murder my mom, Wyatt. Humans did."

"Why'd they do that?" Wyatt asked.

"Because when they couldn't control her and mold her to their way of doing things, they turned their attentions to me. They wanted to mold me into their little witch-slave and their weapon. Mom didn't like them trying that."

"I'm sorry," Wyatt said again. "But trust me, nobody here is going to let anything like that happen to you."

Savanah gave him a smile. "Thanks for that, Wyatt. It's kind of a relief knowing that." She gave him a searching look. "You seem cool and pretty nice... and hey, hot... so why does my big sibling think you and some guy named Chris are dumb a lot?"

It was a good thing to find out why her big sib and this cabin mate that she was liking didn't seem to get on with each other.

Wyatt blinked. "Who's your big sibling?"

"Cally."

Wyatt rolled his eyes. "That explains it. She doesn't like us because we tried to get back at her for spreading false rumors about me."

"Why would she do that?"

"I'm not really sure," Wyatt said with a shrug. "But she says she won't anymore, so as long as she doesn't, we're good. Just, you know, don't take anything she tells you too seriously until you can verify it's true."

Savannah smiled. "Wyatt, that's not a worry. Unless I like you and know I can trust you, I don't take anything anyone says seriously until I can verify it." She tilted her head. "You? You're so far on that list of people that seem trustworthy."
