Room 226, Saturday evening

Wyatt woke up, yawned, stretched, and rolled over to check the clock. It was dark out, so it had to still be pretty early in the morning and therefore no reason to get out of bed yet. The blue LED lights of the alarm clock told him it was almost 5:00 AM, so he made a sleepy sound and sank down in his pillow.

Then he realized that the little dot that meant "AM" hadn't been lit up. 5:00 PM? He'd slept through the entire day? He sat up abruptly and tried to get out of the bed, but his legs got tangled in the blankets and he fell, sprawling on the floor. Cursing, he stood up and hobbled over to turn on the light, then sat back down on the bed to inspect himself. He'd managed to scrape his knee and elbow, but his healing ability made short work of that. Too bad he hadn't been able to use it as a kid. He had a couple of scars from childhood adventures that it would've been nice to get rid of.

After talking with Michael Isabel had thought about going back to her room, but somehow her feet led her past the fourth floor and back down to the second.

Standing in front of the door, she knocked softly.

"Come in," Wyatt called, still sitting on the bed. When Isabel opened up the door, he looked at her mournfully. "I have a scar," he said, pointing to his knee. "Did you know I have a scar?"

"I hadn't noticed," she said with a with a small smile. "But it gives you character."

Taking a seat next to him, Isabel sighed. "Can I have a do-over on the last twenty-four hours?"

Wyatt picked up on her mood even without her words and immediately dropped the pity-me performance. "What's wrong?" he said, putting his arm around her shoulders.

Isabel leaned her head against Wyatt's shoulder, wondering exactly when he became the one she turned to automatically whenever she was upset. "Michael's here. As a student."

Wyatt looked puzzled. "He didn't mention anything about coming here when we were in Roswell, did he?" he said. "Was it a surprise? Why are you upset?"

"Not my Michael," she explained, once again momentarily amused by how easily she could accept alternate realities. "This one's younger. From before Liz was shot. Back when it was just the three of us against the world."

"Oh, yeah, like how the Piper who went here isn't really my mother," Wyatt said, nodding. "This is bad? Is he freaking out or something?"

"It's not bad. In fact I'm thrilled he's here. It's better for him." No Hank for one, a chance to develop his powers for another. "It's just, we'd always agreed that no one would ever know the truth about us. And he found out that everyone knows about me. He's not happy."

"In fact? I'd go for pretty damn pissed."

"Does he know Fandom's special?" Wyatt said, hugging Isabel's shoulders.

"He knows. At least I tried to tell him. But there's a difference between hearing it and believing it." Isabel had a feeling it was going to be a long time until Michael believed it.

"Give him a little time," Wyatt urged. "He'll come around, I'm sure. This place just takes a little getting used to."

"I hope so." She sighed once more, realizing it was going to take more then time. "I'm going to have to apologize again. Not just for not telling him that people knew. But, well, I said something I probably, no, I know I shouldn't have."

After saying goodbye to Parker, Isabel hung up the phone and turned to Wyatt. "A sister?"

"Oops?" Wyatt said sheepishly. "Sorry, I thought I told you already. We met her after Christmas, after I came to Roswell."

"Oops is one word for it," she said, shaking her head. Denial is probably another. "Are you okay with it?"

"Yeah, I guess," Wyatt said. "She's a sweet girl. She's almost 14, and she was pretty weirded out by the 'my parents are alive?' thing, too.

"Yeah, going from only to the youngest has to be weird," Isabel agreed. "Still that's kind of nice for her. Now she has big brothers to look out for her."

"So long as Melinda doesn't show up here and start asking me questions about sex like Savannah did," Wyatt said, making a face.

"She asked me about how to make sure she could make Johnny happy before the first time they slept together," Wyatt said indignantly.

Isabel facepalmed, that was like her asking her Michael what she could do...No, just stopping that train of thought right there. "I'm surprised you didn't send her off to a convent."

"I told her there was no way in hell I was going to tell her how to please Johnny!" Wyatt said.
