Wyatt had the Book of Shadows on his desk, opened up to a page on ghosts. He'd actually put decent effort into tidying up the room.

He glanced at the clock, waiting for a knock at the door.

Jo blinked. "She is? Not the music teacher?"

"The music teacher is a demon?" Wyatt said. "No, this guy is a student. Bel, or Cole is what my aunt calls him. I haven't met him yet but she says he's reformed."

"I think so," Jo said. "He's all green and he's got horns and red eyes. How the hell can a demon reform?"

"Don't ask me," Wyatt said with a shrug. "Once a demon, always a demon. I'm going to keep an eye on him no matter what Aunt Phoebe says."

"It's a good idea. But you should be careful," Jo warned. "You can't kill a demon, just send it back to hell."

"And that's exactly what I'm here to learn," Wyatt said. "Fighting demons and how to use my powers."

"You're in a good place for it, then," Jo said. "At least as far as hunting goes. Uncle John's considered one of the best."

"He's your uncle?" Wyatt said. "And yeah, I'm really looking forward to the class. Mr. Winchester said he'd help me and Chris find the demon who...." He trailed off.

"Kinda," Jo said. "He was friends with my daddy, used to drop by all the time. Before..." She did some trailing off of her own.

Wyatt caught her meaning. "Guess we have something else in common," he said. Then he shook his head. "Okay, I definitely didn't invite you here to get all depressing," he said.

"No, you did not," Jo said, clapping her hands together. "You invited me here to show me your book." She wondered why she had the sudden impulse to add 'not dirty' at the end.

"Will you hate me if I said I had an ulterior motive?" Wyatt asked.

Jo grinned. "Not for anything short of a virgin sacrifice," she said.

"You've guessed my evil intentions," Wyatt dead-panned. "That's exactly why I lured you here."

"Oh, darn," Jo replied. "And I just sent my official sacrificial virgin robes in to be cleaned too."

"That's okay," Wyatt said without missing a beat. "We can do it naked."

Jo burst out laughing. "Well, there's always that."

Wyatt looked around the room. "Now where did I put my sacrificial dagger...?"

"You didn't hand it in when you got here?" Jo asked. "For shame."

"I like to keep it close," Wyatt said with a grin. "It's like it's part of me."

"You must have a good idea how to use it then."

[blessed_twice]

"Oh yeah," Wyatt said, nodding. "I'm a real pro."

"So you've sacrificed a lot of virgins in your time?"

[blessed_twice]

"It's one of the perks of being wicked," Wyatt said.

Jo snickered. "Any other perks of being wicked, Wyatt?"
