The Beach, Saturday afternoon

Playing babysitter for the wee incarnation of his girlfriend hadn't been on Wyatt's agenda for the weekend, but he would do his best to deal and just hope that once the weekend was over, Fandom would restore her to normal. If not, he'd have to send her out to San Francisco to live with his five-year-old self or something.

He held Isabel's hand as he orbed them to the beach. "There you go," he said. "Where do you want to make your castle?"

"Down there," Isabel said, tugging Wyatt towards the water. "We can make a moat!"

"Okay," Wyatt said, letting himself be tugged. "What is the name of your kingdom going to be?"

Chris was having fun with Summer and with wandering around on his own, but he decided that he wanted to play with his brother.

Which is why he orbed to the beach, carefully holding Summer's hand.

"Wyatt! Hi hi! Izzy! Let's play!"

Wyatt stared. "Oh, no," he said. "You gotta be kidding me."

"Whattsa matter, Wy? Don't you wanna play with me?"

Chris's lower lip trembled at the idea of his big brother not wanting to play with him.

"I don't know," she admitted. "What's a good name? And can there be knights? And a dragon?"

Summer had to sit down for a moment once Chris had orbed with her to the beach. She wondered if she would ever get used to that.

"I'll be your knight if any dragons show up," Wyatt grinned. "As for a name, how about Camelot?"

"No, no," Wyatt said quickly. "I just . . . didn't know you could orb so far."

It sounded prettier then Isabel-land so Isabel grinned in agreement and started to dig in the sand. "Can we make it that high?" she asked, stretching her hand up above her head.

"I'm almost seven," Chris said, exasperated. "Of course I can orb this far."

"Hi Chris! We're making a sand castle," Isabel told him. "Want to help?"

"Summer, are you okay?" Chris asked, his brows furrowing in concern.

"Sure! That sounds like lotsa fun!" Chris said, scampering over to where Isabel was building. "What can I make?"

"Well first we have to make the castle and it needs a tower for the princess," she said seriously. "Then it's going to need a moat."

"We can try," Wyatt said. He'd use some TK to keep the sand in place if he had to because if it collapsed and she started to cry he wouldn't know what to do.

That got him a rather sandy hug.

Wyatt remembered how annoying Chris had been at seven and cringed. Well, he was a little brother, so he was annoying at any age. "Good for you," he said. "Do you want to build a sand castle with me and Isabel."

"Summer!" Wyatt said. "You're normal!"

"Summer could be the princess," Chris suggested. "She's pretty."

"Sure!" Chris said. "That sounds like fun."

"I was going to be the princess," Isabel pouted. Take a guess who she wanted to rescue her.

Summer nodded, giving him a small smile. "I'm fine. Really."

"So are you," Summer said, relieved someone else was.

She peered at the little blond girl. "Let me guess. Isabel?"

"Okay, you can be the princess," Chris said. "Maybe we can build Summer her own castle."
